HOMEMADE SCONES 👨‍🍳📍

These were my Nans classic. They are so easy to make and the perfect afternoon
tea when having people over. Or for a little afternoon treat with a brew up ☕️ enjoy!

Fruit Scone Recipe 👇

1. Preheat the oven to 180C. Put 250g self-raising flour, 90g of caster sugar, 70g butter and 1tsbp baking powder in a bowl. Mix it in with your fingers until it starts to look a bit like breadcrumbs.
3. Add in 100g of plump raisins and 150ml of milk a little at a time until you get the mixture coming together. Try to ensure it does not get too wet or you will have to add some more flour.
4. Line a baking tray with a baking sheet.
5. Roll out dough. If it feels too wet when you are rolling and starts sticking to everything, add a little more flour to the surface and turn it so that both sides are floured. Cut out little circles around 2cm thick and glaze with milk. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake in the preheated oven until risen and golden, about 14 minutes. Slice in half and cover with best quality raspberry jam & cream.
7. Make yourself a Yorkshire tea and you’re ready to go. Delicious 😋!
