Severe thunderstorm warning issued in multiple counties
ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) — Parts of mid-Michigan are looking at a chance for severe storms Wednesday after a stormy day on Tuesday.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in Clinton County, Ionia County, northern Gratiot County, southern Isabella County, and Montcalm County until 10:30 a.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued in Ingham and Jackson counties.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm could carry wind gusts up to 60 mph and ping pong ball size hail.
Hail and wind damage is expected and anyone outside should find shelter immediately.
The areas effected include Ionia, Belding, Carson City, Portland, Saranac, and more.
