Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck marry at a Las Vegas drive-in

Lopez announced their marriage on Sunday in her fan newsletter with the headline “We made it.” Lopez initially made her engagement public in April in the same newsletter, “On the J Lo.”

“Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out that love is patient. Twenty-year-old patient,” Lopez wrote in a message signed by Jennifer Lynn Affleck.

Lopez wrote that the couple flew to Las Vegas on Saturday, lined up to get their license with four other couples,

and were married just after midnight at A Little White Wedding Chapel, a chapel that features a “tunnel of love” passing through.

Lopez said a Bluetooth speaker played her brief march down the hall. She called it the best night of their lives.

“Stay long enough and you may have the time of your life on a 12:30 a.m. Tunnel of Love Driving Tour of Las Vegas with your kids and the one you’ll spend a lifetime with.” Lopez said.

News of their nuptials first broke Sunday after the Clark County clerk’s office in Nevada showed the couple obtained a marriage license that was processed Saturday.

The marriage license filing showed that Lopez plans to take the name Jennifer Affleck.
