the main purpose:
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been declared as 100% Central Assistance Scheme by the Government of India to help the farmer families as part of increasing the income of the farmers.

Support Standards:
5000/- per annum will be provided to the farmer family through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Which will be paid in three equal installments at an interval of four months. The first installment will be from 01/12/2018 to 31/06/2018. Thereafter, the second installment will be paid every four months.

eligibility for assistance
Husband, wife and minor children (below 18 years of age) who own any cultivable land individually or jointly (except institutional landowners) and none of them are eligible for assistance. Not all farmer families are included in this category. eligible for assistance.

Farmer Name, Village, Taluka, Aadhar Number, Category, IFSC Code and Bank Account Details.

What can a farming family do for profit?
Account holders who want to avail this scheme should apply online through the designated service provider in their village on the portal (
Apply through service provider like Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE), Milk Society, Co-Operative Society, any other Govt. or Co-operative body/individual.
The applicant has to take a printout of the form and attached agreement with details and submit a copy of the cheque/passbook for bank account details and a self-attested copy of Aadhar card to the data entry centre. Talati has to collect all the details/documents. If the Aadhar card number is not available as the first installment of the first year of implementation of the scheme, then Aadhar enrollment number, driving license, election card etc. will have to be given in the form of identity card. But then Aadhar card as well as Aadhar seed bank account details have to be compulsorily given.
If the person named in the land record of the farmer family holding the land is not in the village or does not reside in the village, then any other adult member of the farmer family can submit an affidavit on his behalf. For which the person making the declaration has to mention his name under the contract and his relationship with the land holder.
Applications will be considered eligible for assistance after approval in the Gram Sabha
Standards for Land Holdings:
For calculation of land holdings, the land holdings as on 01/09/2018 should be taken into account.
This benefit will not be available to any new land holder for the next five years except in case of transfer of ownership by succession due to the death of the land holder.
ta. The land holder registered as land holder in the period 01/12/2018 to 01/04/2018 will be entitled to the benefit from the date of registration of land holding in the land record.
In cases where the right of ownership of cultivable land has been transferred from 01/12/2018 to 31/01/2018 for reasons including purchase, inheritance, bequest, gift from the date of transfer for the first installment of the financial year 2016- 17 For the period up to 31/04/2018, the benefit will be eligible in the ratio of four months.
Who doesn’t get help:
Farmer family with high economic status as mentioned below will be disqualified for benefits under this scheme.
(a) Institutional landholders
(b) one or more persons belonging to the land holding farmer family who are involved in any of the following.

  1. Person holding all current and former constitutional posts
    . Present and former Ministers / Ministers of State, present and former members of Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha / Legislative Assembly, present and former Speakers of Zilla Panchayat
  2. Serving and Retired (All) – Regular (Multi-Tasking Staff) of Central and State Government Ministries/ Offices/ Departments and its Regional Offices, all Public Enterprises of Central and State Governments, all Autonomous and affiliated institutions under the Central and State /) All officers, employees except Govt. as well as Local Bodies Class-3/Group-D)
    . All age pensioners/retirees out of B-2/3 who have Rs. 10,000/- or more (Except Multi Tasking Staff/Class-II/Group-D)
    . Taxpayers who have paid income tax in the previous assessment year, as well as professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects who are registered with professional bodies and carry on business in practice.
